On the 8th and 9th of November 2019, the Management Committee of SCMHRD organised the third edition of its flagship Annual Management Conclave – Yashasvi, in association with MTV Beats and Vh1 India as Title Sponsors and Grapevine as Youth Partner.
The Executive Director for Nielsen – Mr. Manoj Kulkarni was the Chief Guest for the event which was inaugurated by the Director of SCMHRD Dr. Pratima Sheorey alongwith the Deputy Director Dr. Netra Neelam and the Faculty Incharge Dr. Aditi Naidu.
Yashasvi is a Sanskrit word which means ‘To Be Successful’. The quest to be “Yashasvi” is like the wind beneath our wings which drives us to accomplish ambitions and achieve milestones in life. With the theme as ‘Digress. Discover. Disrupt.’, eminent dignitaries graced the Conclave with their presence and urged the audience to seek unconventional ways to solve problems thereby allowing for unprecedented possibilities to emerge.
The first day started with Mr. Manoj Kulkarni enlightening the audience about ‘Digress. Discover. Disrupt. via Data Centricity’. He talked about how the use of technology and the ability to deploy ‘Data as a Disruptor’ model will differentiate future successful companies from unsuccessful ones.
This was followed by a panel discussion on the pertinent topic “Industry Incumbents Must Dance With Disruption” which was moderated by Ms. Rashmi Mansharamani, CHRO, Wave Group. With the panelists being – Ms. Aditi Deshpande, Risk Head-Capital Market Group at Aditya Birla Finance Ltd., Mr. Adhiraj Dey, Executive Director-Human Capital Management at Future Station Advisors LLP, Mr. Gopalakrishna Kuppuswamy, VP-Product Engineering Services at Hitachi Consulting, Mr. Rakesh Singhania, CFO at Wells Fargo, Mr. Tojo Jose, CHRO at Muthoot Fincorp and Mr. Arun Kumar Rajaraman, Director-Engineering E-Systems at Lear Corporation, the discussion provided valuable insights thereby stimulating the young minds of the audience members.
Post this, Mr. Subash Gaijes, IT Head & CFO at Nippon Paint for India and Middle East spoke on ‘Digital Metamorphosis’. Thereafter, Mr. Yuvaraj Srivastava, Group CHRO at MakeMyTrip talked about ‘Design for Growth’. The first day of the event concluded with Mr. Prasad Kulkarni, VP-Global HR Operations at Accelya Group speaking on ‘Organisation Culture and Dynamics’.
The second day of Yashasvi 2019 began with Ms. Shruti Mishra, Lead-HR Business Partner for Retail at PUMA Sports India, enlightening the students on ‘Employment 2030’. This was followed by Ms. Ruchira Garg, Director of the Employee Resource Centre at Adobe India sharing her expertise on ‘Diversity Boosts Innovation’. Last but not the least, Mr. Harjeet Khanduja, VP-Human Resources at Reliance Jio enthralled the audience with his talk on ‘Paralysis by Analysis’.
These interactive sessions at Yashasvi 2019 gave students the opportunity to learn from the stellar corporate experiences of the industry trailblazers who have achieved the zenith of success through sheer hard work, patience and perseverance. The Conclave was a huge success as the industry leaders not only shed light on the dynamic business environment of today, but also encouraged the audience to imbibe a fearless disposition to face challenges, which is also the underlying thought behind Yashasvi.
