Kunal Parekh from the 2018-20 batch, pursuing Marketing, did his internship with EarlySalary.
At his Internship, Kunal’s project was under the Business Development department and his role involved going to various markets for company tie-ups for customer sourcing for their Financial Wellness Program. Additionally, he was also a part of the Pre Sales process of their Financial Wellness Program which involved activities like lead- generation and scheduling meetings with HR heads of different companies for the Regional Sales head of EarlySalary. Further, he also aided in developing and maintaining relationships with the HR Head of their prospective companies.
His experience with the company was “simply outstanding”, to quote, as the leadership team at EarlySalary was always approachable and were open to new ideas. The company truly had an open-door policy, so whenever he felt stuck, he never had to schedule an appointment, one could just go to anyone’s cubicle and get his or her doubts cleared.
Kunal, a fresher, only had a B.Com degree from St. Xavier’s College, Kolkata in his name when he came to SCMHRD and now he’ll be leaving with a wonderful job in hand. Even at work, he never hesitated while talking with the HR heads of different companies. With his clients, rather than directly pitching for the Financial Wellness Program of EarlySalary, he used to try to make the clients understand the benefits their organization will enjoy if they were to tie up with EarlySalary. Additionally, he would always try and make the first 45 seconds of the call very innovative so that he could get the attention of the concerned person, and then slowly he would start pitching.
To the junior batch of 2019-21, he advises them to try and be a cultural fit in whichever company they intern at. To always keep their mentor up to date with the daily progress, and do not hesitate in asking for feedback at regular intervals.
Many congratulations Kunal, and all the very best, from every one of us at SCMHRD.
