Shubham Kulshrestha from the batch of MBA 2018-20, specializing in Business Analytics had an opportunity to intern with Ecolab.
His project revolved around optimizing the Supply Chain process and enhancing the customer satisfaction index, along with improving the forecasting accuracy for various regions. Being part of the planning team, he got to work on each and every vertical in the supply chain, be it inventory, manufacturing or logistics – which gave him a holistic understanding of the process.
According to Shubham, his four-month stint at Ecolab was a wholesome package of learning, tremendous exposure to various aspects of the role offered, networking and of course, fun. The internship programme was very well structured, with copious training sessions and timely guidance to aid him in his project.
Being an engineer with an experience of three years in business insights role helped him grasp the technical aspects quickly. Additionally, the overall process of understanding of every Supply Chain vertical along with the technical skills helped him bag a PPO.
Shubham adds that his ability to understand the challenges in the Supply Chain, along with getting insights on various crucial cross-functional aspects through experience in Planning, Logistics and Quality departments helped him in getting an edge over others.
Lastly, he would like to suggest the junior batch to stay focused and be thorough with the technical and functional aspects of the field.
We congratulate Shubham and wish him luck for his future endeavors.
