PPO Chronicles #12: Ambati Chaitanya Kumar Reddy, Wipro

Ambati Chaitanya Kumar Reddy, from 2018-20 batch, pursuing Human Resources,
interned at Wipro, as a part of Wipro’s Summer Experience program, WISE-2019. There,
he got the opportunity to work on two projects. As part of the first project, he was
involved in developing an attrition prediction framework, where he successfully built a
couple of automated HR analytical dashboard tools, an attrition prediction tool for
countering the attrition proactively and, an attrition alert indicator tool for countering
reactively. The second project was on improving the bottom drivers of employee
engagement as a part of employee perception survey 2019 where he developed a
scorecard with an automated dashboard. Apart from these two major projects, he also
got exposure to Rewards and Recognitions and Compensation and Benefits of the
organization.

He says that the internship has been an enriching experience and Wipro has given him
the complete flexibility to perform to his fullest potential. He is overwhelmed at the fact
that he was given a chance to provide special knowledge sessions on the automated
HR analytical tools to his unit’s HR Business partners. In a nutshell, he happily shared
that his internship started with winning a Facebook contest and ended with receiving the
WiSE cracker award as the Best Intern, something that every intern at Wipro dreams of.
Having a prior work experience of around 35 months, after Engineering, helped him in
getting a complete and quick understanding of organizational issues. It has always
reminded him to put himself in the shoes of the employees, and accelerated his efforts
towards providing solutions. His ability to clearly understand the problems, analyze the
data and make decisions out of the data gave him an edge over others.
He suggests the junior batch to have a good knowledge of HR concepts and skills such
as Excel, statistics and Tableau. Participation in HR competitions helps in dealing with
and exploring real time HR cases. Apart from this, having an understanding of the
industry in which the company operates is essential.

“Display the zeal to learn and things will automatically fall in place”, is what Chaitanya
believes in and he proved it by getting a PPO.
Many congratulations and all the very best, from each one of us at SCMHRD
