Mahindra War Room, a one of a kind B-school competition launched its 12th Season this year. The theme for this year was “Design to Disrupt”. The students were provided 14 caselets to choose from for their campus evaluation round and these caselets were from diverse domains and included real-time problems which were faced by the Mahindra group of companies. The students had to make teams of 4 each, pick one case and present their solution.
The campus round for SCMHRD was held in the SIC Auditorium on 30th September 2019 where the top 5 teams presented their solution before the esteemed panel. The panel who evaluated the students included Mr.Sarang Desai, Senior General Manager-Operations at Mahindra Finance, Mr. Sathiyanarayanan M, Head Marketing at Mahindra First Choice Wheels and Mr.Ajinkya Choudekar, First Runners-up in the last season of War Room and now a part of the Mahindra family. The shortlisted teams had to give a 10-minute presentation which comprised of 3 minutes to explain their idea and 7 minutes to showcase the background research. The presentation was followed by a 5-minute Question & Answer session. The Q&A gave the participants as well as the audience insights that helped them understand the business requirement better.
The evaluation process was carried out keeping the following criteria in mind:
- Issues analyzed strategically
- Innovative approach
- Analysis of quality
- Issues covered thoroughly
- Quality factor
The event witnessed full attendance from the students of SCMHRD who were both enthusiastic and interactive. At the end, teams ‘Athulya’ and ‘Bhai Dekh Lega’ emerged victorious and were declared as the winners of the Campus Round. The winning teams from all the participating campuses will proceed to the VC Round. Based on the classification of their business case, the teams will face the respective business’s CEO/CXO.
