Godrej LOUD (Live Out Ur Dream) is an exclusive platform for young and talented ﬁrst year B-School students to materialize their dreams. It is organized to help students realize their personal and non-entrepreneurial dreams, the one that they are most passionate about, and have not been able to fulﬁl because of either time or financial constraint.
Godrej launched LOUD Season 9 virtually on 31st August 2020. The event was hosted by Vandana Lisa Scolt, Vice President, Head of Communication Design and Campus Recruitment, Godrej Consumer Products Limited. She started the event by inviting some students from participating institutes who joined her at the virtual launch ceremony.
Vandana narrated her story explaining the degree of impact her family has had in shaping her life and making her what she is today. She strongly believes that “Knowledge can transform one’s destiny.”
Godrej, through this competition, searches for passionate people who believe in themselves and can, therefore, become purposeful Godrejites. Who can then create delight and eventually help in the growth of the organization.
Godrej LOUD consists of two rounds. In the first round, students submit their entries in a presentation or video format to present their dreams to Godrej. The dream needs to be something that one strongly feels about. A list of finalists is then declared, who later present their dreams to the jury in the finale of LOUD.
The winner of the competition gets INR 1.5 lakh which needs to be dedicated towards fulfilling that dream, within a span of one year. Due to unforeseen circumstances this year the winners will get two years to fulfil their dreams. The competition also offers an attractive pre-placement summer internship offer to the winners.
The ideology of Godrej LOUD is that a student is much more than his/her CV. A few things that are common across all LOUD winners are their grit, passion, tenacity and ability to share what they believe in.
Godrej also has an in-house LOUD version for Godrejites. Godrej does not believe in fanciful dreams but simple and realistic ones.
The event concluded with a question and answer session with the students of participating institutes. All the queries were answered patiently at the end of the session. All in all, Godrej LOUD’s virtual launch was a huge success.
