Godrej LOUD- Catalysing dreams since 2012

Godrej is here on campus, albeit virtually, but that hasn’t dampened the zeal one bit. The 10th edition of Godrej LOUD kicked off with a bang on August 2nd, 2021. The virtual event attracted a plethora of 1st-year students from top B-schools of the country. The two-hour event was hosted by Miss Vandana Lisa Scott, Vice President and Head, Communication Design and Campus Recruitment, Godrej Consumer Products. 

The challenge is an exclusive opportunity for first-year MBA students from select B-schools to fulfil their dreams. LOUD is a contest that aims to voice the passionate dreams of students. It looks out for genuine and passionate people who could, given the nudge they need, be the change tomorrow needs. The winners stand a chance to take home a whopping 1.5 Lakhs to live their dream and also an amazing internship opportunity at Godrej. 

This year, the competition has also introduced a new cognitive test that will act as a qualifier. The other rounds remain the same as in previous years. The students who qualify to round 2 will have to present their dreams in the form of a presentation or video, post which candidates will be shortlisted to present their ideas in person to the jury.

This year was a special one for the conglomerate as 2021 marked its 125th year since inception. Adding to the usual glamour of the event, the organization went an extra mile by stressing upon the importance of the greater good of the community for them. The event which started off with a video, showcased how Godrej has always been a torchbearer of significant change. Starting as lock manufacturers, the organization has come a long way. From producing the world’s first vegetable oil soap to protecting our homes and communities with their varied products, Godrej has been on the forefront, doing good. The unique and bold hashtag of #GoLoudForGood was befitting the special edition indeed.

The video also encompassed the true spirit of the organization. It went on to enlighten the audience about the values and vision the company holds close to its heart. It also gave a glimpse of the Godrej interns and their varied internship experiences. 

Towards the end of the event, students from the participating campuses were given an opportunity to ask their queries, which were all answered by the host. The event concluded just as loud as it started, driving home the organization’s vision of encouraging and nurturing young minds.
