The entire population is aware of the fact that paper comes from trees. According to calculations, a single person uses up to 10,000 papers sheets in one year. Imagine the quantity of paper utilized by every person in this world altogether.
In its pursuit to become trendsetters among education institutes, the Symbiosis Centre for Management and Human Resource Development (SCMHRD), Pune has made its admissions process completely paperless. This will reduce paper usage by a whopping 90%.
All the touch-points of the aspirants with the institute have been digitized. From filing the application form to aspirant CV making and final interview process, everything is digital. Earlier, the admissions process led to a consumption of 200 reams of paper. With the new process, this has reduced exponentially. State of the art technology has been deployed to record the scores of the candidates thereby making it transparent as well as eco-friendly completely.
Even the feedback form has been digitized which aspirants can fill out on their hand-held devices. This saves a lot of time in compiling responses and data is received in a structured format leading to better insights. Hence, it enables the institute to take action at a faster pace.
The Admissions and PR team, which overlooks the end to end functioning of the complete GEPIWAT process, is elated by this initiative by their institute. Even the aspirants who visited the campus for the process have amazing feedback for this. A few snippets:
