Their session not only informed us of what is expected over the next two years, but also encouraged and motivated us to embrace this journey with determination and clarity. They also elaborated on the credit system, semester-wise credit distribution, academic structure, evaluation criteria, and program duration. Following this, the examination team shared information helped us understand the assessment methodologies and grading patterns that will be followed throughout the course.
We then proceeded to our respective classrooms, where sessions were conducted by the Heads of Department of each specialization. These sessions offered valuable insights into the different specializations, their core focus, industry relevance, advantages, and challenges. The presentations were informative and allowed us to reflect on our choices with greater awareness. Each HoD motivated us to remain focused and work consistently towards the goals we have envisioned for ourselves.
Later in the day, we had the opportunity to interact with the Campus Administrator, Col. S.K. Mishra. He spoke about the various facilities available on campus that contribute to the overall well-being and development of the students. From the residential infrastructure to the cafeteria, mess, recreation center, and health care facilities everything is structured to support a holistic learning environment.
This was followed by a session with Ms. Aarti Vaidya, the Administrative Officer, who introduced us to the extensive resources available to us. She also highlighted the role her team plays in supporting students throughout their admission process. From documentation to coordination, they ensure that each student experiences a smooth and seamless transition into this new phase of life at SCMHRD. Her address reflected the institution's commitment to student welfare right from the very beginning of the academic journey. Library team introduced us to the extensive resources of the campus library. The library, which is Wi-Fi enabled, houses more than 24,000 books, over 2,000 audio and video CDs and DVDs, and a wide range of national and international periodicals. The digital and physical resources span diverse areas such as leadership, business, entrepreneurship, and management. It is designed to be a conducive space for both collaborative and independent learning.
In today's digital age, the importance of seamless technology infrastructure cannot be overstated. Their work behind the scenes plays a pivotal role in facilitating our academic progress.
The final session of the day focused on Anti-Ragging Awareness. The speakers highlighted the serious consequences of ragging and reaffirmed SCMHRD's strict no-tolerance policy on this matter. Through clear communication and a short awareness video from the National Anti-Ragging Committee, we were reminded of the importance of fostering a safe, respectful, and inclusive campus culture.
With this, the day concluded on a reflective note. The day provided us with a deeper understanding of the academic structure and support systems in place, as well as the expectations that come with being a part of SCMHRD. It reaffirmed that while the journey ahead will be demanding, it is also one that is backed by a robust foundation, ensuring our growth as capable professionals and responsible individuals.
