Exploring the Future of Infrastructure Development and Management: Insights from Dr. Kedar Bhagwat

On 11th June, day 6 of the Induction program by Dr. Kedar Bhagwat, Head of department of the Infrastructure Development and Management program, the audience was treated to a comprehensive overview of the fields potential and the program's offerings.

Dr. Bhagwat sir kicked off the session by delving into the real insights and future scope of infrastructure development and management. He provided a glimpse into the program's curriculum, highlighting its evolution over the years, including a significant increase in batch size from 15 to 63 students in the 2021-23 batch.

One notable achievement highlighted was the program's 3rd prize win at the IMC Awards, Delhi, in 2017, for designing a "Future-ready curriculum". Dr. Bhagwat sir emphasized the hands-on approach of the curriculum, which includes live projects, site visits, and summer internships.

He also shed light on the various committees within the college, encouraging students to actively participate. Program outcomes such as business development, supply chain management, feasibility study, contract management, and sustainability were discussed, emphasizing the program's holistic approach.

Dr. Bhagwat sir elaborated on the program's semester structure and stressed the importance of qualities like learning, patience, and staying updated with current developments in meeting the rigorous demands of the field.

The session concluded with a lively question-answer session, where Dr. Bhagwat sir addressed student's doubts and queries, fostering a dynamic exchange of ideas.
