Session on AOL & CO-PO

In a highly engaging and enlightening session, Natasha Ma'am and Dipasha Ma'am walked us through the core concepts of Attainment of Learning (AOL), Programme Outcomes (PO), and Course Outcomes (CO), helping us understand what lies beyond classroom teaching at SCMHRD. The session emphasized the Outcome-Based Education (OBE) model, which puts learners at the center of the academic journey, making every assignment, discussion, and assessment deeply meaningful.

One of the key highlights was the introduction to Programme Learning Components (PLCs) - essentially the building blocks that define what students are expected to learn by the end of their MBA program. These PLCs align closely with SCMHRD's mission to nurture globally competent and responsible professionals.

We learned how PLCs help set clarity of purpose, outlining expected skills and knowledge early on. Each course is structured around these outcomes to ensure a measurable roadmap of skill development. Whether one aims for a career in consulting, analytics, operations, or entrepreneurship, PLCs ensure the acquisition of industry-relevant competencies like leadership, communication, and a global perspective.

Perhaps most significantly, the session drove home the message that assessment is no longer just about grades, but about meaningful personal growth. Through continuous feedback and frequent evaluation, we're encouraged to recognize our strengths, work on our weaknesses, and make informed academic and career decisions.
