With an experience of 7 years in the industry Ms. Surabhi Sheshadri has exemplified leadership,
excellence and commitment at every stage of her life. Graduating as a university topper in Visveswaraya Technological University specializing in Information Science & Technology, Ms. Surabhi pursued her post-graduation with majors in Human Resources and minors in Marketing from SCMHRD. Alongside her academic excellence she excelled in her extra-curricular winning the prestigious “HRiday”, a national level HR case-study competition organised by SJMSOM. She was also a delegate member in “Women Mean Business-2009”, a conference by Cherie Blair foundation.
During her time at SCMHRD, Ms. Surabhi interned with Mahindra & Mahindra where she designed and implemented the Human Resource Manual in DLSI. She also delivered an On-boarding kit and induction manual for DLSI. Down to her spectacular efforts during the internship, she was offered a PPO. Ms. Sheshadri describes SCMHRD as a “World of Opportunities’’ and has fond memories of her time as a member of its CSR club, Shapath. She joined Mahindra Two Wheelers Limited (MTWL) straight out of campus in a HR Generalist role handling line functions of Sales, Customer Care and Marketing. She was responsible for Recruitment & Selection, on boarding, Performance Management, Employee Relations, Employee Engagement and Design Institutionalisation of HR systems and processes. Having worked 19 months in the Two-wheeler division of Mahindra & Mahindra she then worked as a Manager for the Leadership Development Programme. Post this she was given the opportunity to lead 2 major strategic interventions in the Mahindra Group – Future Leaders Program (FLP) and Reflective Conversations (RC). As part of this FLP she was given the opportunity to drive a 10.5 Cr project. As arduous as the task was it also rendered a lot of accountability as it aimed at building a talent pipeline of senior leaders who would assume Top Leadership positions in the Mahindra Group. Due to her stellar work with the FLP she received recognition and appreciation for the composure she maintained throughout her work. As part of the RC she worked on cultural transformation and sustenance, role-modelling by Leaders and partnership with stakeholders across Sectors to fully harness the power of “Reflective Conversations” in HR and Business levers for higher engagement and breakthrough innovation. As of the end of 2016 she is working as a senior manager- Leadership & OD and Diversity & Inclusion for Bohringer Ingelheim. She is responsible for a number of tasks including creating a robust leadership pipeline through focussed interventions for Middle-management and Key Talent as well as driving virtual and social learning culture through LOS. Ms. Sheshadri scaled yet another milestone this year
by making a place for herself in the 2018 edition of People Matters. In the midst of her busy
schedule she also finds time to visit her alma mater to deliver guest lectures and inspiring the
budding managers of SCMHRD.
